So, the other day I went shopping with Mom. We were at Family Dollar and she pointed out 7.2 oz tubes of Pepsodent and Aim to me. I purchased the last two Pepsodent Tubes to have on hand, saving a dollar or more on the cost.

Fruitful Shopping Trip

My daughter and I went to Marden’s the other day with friends. While there we came across some great savings:
1. I purchased 4 spray bottles of fruit scented body spray at .10 each. They were all full-size bottles.
2. My daughter picked up a very long telephone cord for only .50.
I love finding good deals!

Mama Kalila visited the blog and commented not long ago and mentioned homemade shampoo. I asked if she had any recipes and she directed me to her “no poo” post on her blog. I have posted the link to the recipes in the sidebar, but you can visit her blog at http://www.mamakalila.blogspot.com/. I enjoyed my visit [...]

I did a little more stocking up on things today. All items were either on sale, or came from the Family Dollar. I also used coupons for each item.
Family Dollar:
Most of these items used to be $1.00 here, but are now up to $1.10 to $1.25. The prices after coupon still came in at under [...]

So, I have been using the Diva Cup for a few months now and all is going well. I do have a couple of nights and days during my menstruation that are extremely heavy (medical problem) and the cup fills up too quickly, so I have also been using pads at those times. However, this [...]

It seems that there are still many people who believe that people on welfare are living it up, getting everything that they could ever want, without having to work. While on occasion, people have been known to do this, not everyone does. Everyone is not out to cheat the system. Most people are just trying [...]

I have heard from different people that they are concerned about the upcoming winter months. In all honesty, I am concerned myself. How can I make it through a winter here? Will I make it through the winter? Have I cut all of the corners that I can? I have no idea.
I keep analyzing everything, [...]

This, by the way, is turning out to be one of the leaner years. We will make do, though. We always do.
Last year was a [...]
