I have a collection of old canning jars, as well as an assortment of food jars with lids. I also have many plastic food storage containers.

I am currently reading up on food storage. My idea is that I would like to be stocked for a year on most everything. The food and the fuel will be the hard ones, as they are the most expensive.

Yesterdays food cupboard visit went well. My nephew went with me and we were able to carry everything home on our walk back. We brought the canvas bags so as bot to be wasteful. This is what we received:
