Maintenance: Clean once a month. I have been using a dishwasher cleaning agent, but am considering the use of vinegar instead.
Money Savings:
Use vinegar instead of Jet-Dry.
Start using less and less detergent until you notice it is no longer working, then use the previous amount.
Do not run the dry cycle. Open and allow dishes to air [...]

Over on the Frugal Recipes site, you will find a couple of new posts.
1. Making homemade applesauce is a great way to teach children how to cook. It is also a great way to eat healthier. Homemade applesauce does not have the bad-for-you additives and preservatives that the jarred stuff has. See my Homemade Applesauce recipe.

Creating meals from leftovers will save you money. I freeze some leftovers for soups later on, and I keep some in the fridge for leftover meals.
I made two meals from refrigerator leftovers this week. These are broken down by price (one was completely free) on the Frugal Recipe blog (see blogroll).

Saving Money:

Maintenance: Once a month, run an empty washer with 1 cup of vinegar.
Safety: Once a month, clean your dryer filter. Mine is at the top of my dryer. Pull it out and scrub both sides of the screen with water, soap and a toothbrush.
Money Savings:
I will be trying vinegar as a fabric softener. I understand [...]

So, last week I purchased a bunch of meat. I ended up with enough to last for 2 weeks, lunches and dinners. However, I had to cut back from 1 lb. no matter how many people are here to:
1/2 lb. for the 3 of us
3/4 lb when 1 nephew is here
1 lb for when there [...]

Question: Has anyone tried baking using medium sized eggs rather than [...]
